Anna F. and I took a proper tourist visit to
Tel Beer Sheva Park (regular readers of the blog might remember that I had a
brief visit there in April). We took bus #63 from Beer Sheva and the stop is not named for the park, but for the sewage treatment plant across the highway (some of you understand the irony of that location for me - I'm a sanitary engineer).
It's a relatively big site, with a great view of the Negev plain, and close access to the Beer Sheva River (see map). The strata of the site date to 12th century BCE.
